As we were finishing up the last of ours (all rhubarb), my better half suggested doing half strawberries, half rhubarb the next time. Now I've got the bug in my ear to do it your way with half blueberries. You say you'd like more topping? What about NOT putting half of the crumbly mixture on the bottom and half on top but rather putting it ALL on top?
