Sad face

We were supposed to get yet another big storm coming through last night and we got...a dusting. The roads are dry. There's supposed to be 3-5" possible today, but we'll see how that goes. It won't be a problem to get to where we need to go this morning. Grumble, grumble.

I was hoping for a snow day. Not for my own selfish purposes, of course. We're in drought conditions here and it would have helped to get a big dump of snow. And I feel bad for my kid too, who was looking forward to a day off. Now we both *sniff* have to carry on.

Seriously, though, this is the third 'major' storm that has come around in the last month that we've gotten storm warnings about and has subsequently fizzled. Not sure if we are now in the Colorado banana belt or what, but it's a little weird.

I had visions of shoveling snow from the alley and walks onto my garden for the free water. Too bad.

  1. Storms fizzling out on us is exactly the way it went for us ALL WINTER. So I know how frustrating that is. Now one might think we're getting all our snow in March and April. I'm thinking the 6" we got last Saturday and nearly 2" yesterday morning might be it for the season though. Our temp upon rising this morning was 38 (didn't even freeze overnight) so it may be the signal of our (s-l-o-w) warming up for spring. Bummer you missed a good snow day. :o(
